qualifications

  •  A highly motivated, organized, detail-focused, and team member with 5+ years of professional experience

  • A creative problem-solver who loves strategizing, collaborating, and resolving complex issues

  • We need someone who readily takes on responsibility, has exceptional communication skills, and can patiently direct internal staff and external consultant teams

  • The ideal candidate will have competency in the technical aspects of landscape architecture as well as exceptional construction knowledge

  • Creative self-starter interested in working in a small firm;

  • Degree in related field of study, preferably landscape architecture;

  • Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and experience with 3D programs a plus

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and graphic);

  • In addition, requires experience in all phases of landscape architecture, engineering and construction, including substantial experience in project management and building code

  • The ability to develop and understand contractual liabilities as they relate to architect/owner projects including fee calculations

  • It is essential for the Project Manager to have client management skills, proposal creation, project management and negotiation experience

  • This position must have leadership experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while consistently achieving high standards and goals

  • Proven experience in motivating and inspiring others is essential

  • Presentation skills are required

 
responsibilities

  • Support design graphics and technical drawing production from concept development through construction observation

  • Manage ideation and design conceptualization

  • Manage drafting, preparation of plans, details, renderings and specifications of landscape and irrigation design

  • Manage technical aspects of details, elevations and landscape construction

  • Manage site analysis and as-built plan set up

  • Participate collaboratively with internal and external teams

  • Work with a range of project types and sizes;

  • Manage projects to stay on budget and push schedule forward

  • take initiative to complete plan sets and review with client and consultants at a high level of communication and review

  • review work prior to submitting to jurisdiction and/or client

  • use time productively and communicate clearly with team on tasks and to-do list

  • The Project Manager is responsible for planning, interpreting, organizing, and managing large scope complex projects or several small projects through all phases of development

  • The Project Manager oversees the architectural process from concept through construction administration on a project

  • This position is responsible for establishing client relationships, directing and monitoring all project activities

  • The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate professional skill, high standards, sound judgment, and professionalism

  • Team building and motivation are also key responsibilities

  • Assures project conforms to contractual agreement with client

  • Effectively manage project budget to ensure profitability

  • Effectively manage project to ensure completion within allocated period of time

  • Assures that project needs are satisfied by effectively managing project staff to ensure efficient utilization of resources

  • Maintains ongoing, positive and productive client relationships

  • Effectively manages consultants and other construction trades as well as governmental agencies

  • Effectively and proactively coaches, mentors and provides performance enhancing feedback to team members

  • Implements processes to reduce risks and exposure in all areas of the project

  • Directs all activities related to project construction administration including scheduling, shop drawings process, field observations, reports, change orders and pay requests

  • Assures construction administration activities emphasize on efficiency, quality assurance and code compliance

  • Will perform other project and duties as assigned by the Senior Project Leader
